4 WEEKS of GIVEAWAYS
week #4 [CLOSED]

In the continuing celebration of Budget Bytes reaching 10,000 RSS subscribers, I bring you Week #4 of the 4 Weeks of Giveaways!

I've had so much fun reading everyone's responses to the other giveaways, I'm a little sad this will be the last one (for a little while, at least!). Deciding on the last prize was a little tough, but I had to go with my gut.

I know not everyone likes the 'ol George Foreman grill, but I've found mine to be beyond valuable. Like any appliance, it's not great for everything, but it does some things very, very well. If you live in an apartment or just otherwise don't have a real grill, this little guy can be a life saver. I've grilled vegetables on it, made panini's, and it's my go-to piece of equipment for quickly cooking chicken.

I bought my old-school, little-bitty George Foreman grill well over ten years ago and it's still going strong. The model I'm giving away today is bigger, better, and redder! Ha! I hope it goes to someone who gets as much use out of it as I do mine!

Giveaway #3 - 72 sq. inch George Foreman Grill (Red)

This week's questions is all for fun:

Are you a mayo or Miracle Whip person? Or maybe they BOTH make you gag?

I grew up eating Miracle Whip but once I switched to mayo, I never looked back. Funny how your taste buds change. Even the smell of the "whip" makes me cringe these days.

HOW TO ENTER:
  1. Leave a comment on this blog post answering "Mayo or Miracle Whip?" and then click the green "I did this!" button in the contest widget.
  2. "Like" Budget Bytes on Facebook through the contest widget button.
  3. ...or do both!

Good Luck!

Mayo on most things but tuna sandwiches -must- be Miracle Whip. It's the only thing that mayo just doesn't taste right with. I was raised on Miracle Whip, switch to mayo overall in my adult life but tuna still needs Miracle Whip.

Kitty L. | December 6, 2011 at 11:38 PM

Mayo forever! I really never ate much Miracle Whip growing up so it always tastes weird to me. Plus SO MANY MAYO COMBINATIONS. Pesto is the best.

AngieV | December 7, 2011 at 12:09 AM

Definitely Miracle Whip! Wouldn't touch mayo until I realized it came on BLT's. Sigh. Still prefer Miracle Whip on sandwiches but keep mayo around for making chip dips.

Juceefroot | December 7, 2011 at 12:09 AM

I like mayo but my family only buys Miracle Whip... my dad does this because he has a mayo horror story from when he was younger (which I find hilarious btw)...

I don't have a horror story and like eating mayo when I go out. so yup... mayo it is.

Kesya B | December 7, 2011 at 12:17 AM

Honestly had never heard of Miracle Whip until today (I don't live in the States) so mayo all the way!

sakinac | December 7, 2011 at 12:29 AM

Mayo for sure! Love the olive oil kind :)

Leah | December 7, 2011 at 12:37 AM

Miracle Whip or bust.

April was in CT now CA | December 7, 2011 at 12:44 AM

The mere thought of Miracle Whip makes me.. ugh. Nasty. I'll take mayo, please!

Girlglasses | December 7, 2011 at 12:59 AM

I was raised on miracle whip, but the moment I tried real mayo there was no turning back. I can't stomach the stuff now.

Shreela | December 7, 2011 at 1:03 AM

Grew up on mayo (Yankee mom), but then learned the delights of Miracle Whip on a sandwich in my young 20s. But Miracle Whip does NOT taste right in potato/pasta/rice salads, cole slaw, or dips!

Camille | December 7, 2011 at 1:05 AM

Both. I grew up on Miracle Whip. Now, for sandwiches it has to be Miracle Whip. For recipes, it has to be mayo. Mmm...grilled cucumber sandwiches with olive oil mayo...yum... :)

TK | December 7, 2011 at 1:10 AM

Mayo for me!

Brittany | December 7, 2011 at 1:19 AM

Mayo!

Patti | December 7, 2011 at 2:19 AM

Ugh. Neither. Can't I have a nice pesto spread instead?

Jessi | December 7, 2011 at 2:43 AM

Not very fond of either, but prefer Miracle Whip on burgers and such.

Stephanie B. | December 7, 2011 at 2:45 AM

Mayo, definitely. Miracle Whip only as a last resort. There's only so much that can mask the MW taste for me.

Wei Wei | December 7, 2011 at 2:56 AM

Mayo!

Michèle | December 7, 2011 at 3:39 AM

Mayo, I'm going with the real deal!

StephanieNics | December 7, 2011 at 3:59 AM

I dislike both. Until a couple years ago, I had never realized there was a difference between the two, but it seems to be a hot debate topic, like politics or religion, something not to be discussed in polite circles.

Jen | December 7, 2011 at 4:57 AM

Grew up on Miracle Whip but now I'm a mayo only girl!

wazu504 | December 7, 2011 at 5:11 AM

Neither. Give me grey poupon plz.

Lodi | December 7, 2011 at 5:11 AM

I absolutely loved mayo when I was a kid, but when I realized how it was done it put me off and now I try to avoid it as much as possible. Never tried Miracle Whip so I'm afraid I don't have an answer for it.

Felicity | December 7, 2011 at 5:14 AM

neither, think both are quite gross sriracha all the way

Anonymous | December 7, 2011 at 5:19 AM

I was raised on Miracle Whip, but it's mayo for everything these days because my husband doesn't like Miracle Whip.

SaraW | December 7, 2011 at 5:26 AM

Mayo! Like you I grew up on Miracle Whip but once I had the real thing I never looked back.

Janis | December 7, 2011 at 5:56 AM

Definitely mayo!

Jake P | December 7, 2011 at 5:57 AM

Mayo all the way

Yael | December 7, 2011 at 6:03 AM

miracle whip!!

Anonymous | December 7, 2011 at 6:35 AM

Miracle Whip-Ick! Only Mayo for this girl!

Jen Blacker | December 7, 2011 at 6:50 AM

I was a Miracle Whip girl when I was little, but now that I'm an adult it's real mayo all the way!

Ben Tripp | December 7, 2011 at 7:03 AM

Definitely mayo

Mike | December 7, 2011 at 7:10 AM

May please!

inasnit | December 7, 2011 at 7:19 AM

Mostly I prefer Miracle Whip, but sometimes I also like some Hellmans Light Mayo (like, for Turkey sandwiches).

Heather | December 7, 2011 at 7:28 AM

Ugh, I hate all mayonnaise-like products except in a very few circumstances when it is part of a dip (e.g. pimento cheese).

amberpepe | December 7, 2011 at 7:30 AM

Definitely Mayo. Lately I've taken to eating it mixed with ketchup on french fries. Mmmm.

Vicki S | December 7, 2011 at 7:34 AM

Mayo, usually light.

Laura | December 7, 2011 at 7:35 AM

Wow! So many MW haters... who knew? I avoid mayo; I don't know what it is, but the stuff makes me bloat up like a Christmas turkey, so I'm a Miracle Whip gal! ;)

Carmen | December 7, 2011 at 7:44 AM

mayo definitely!

SW Knudsen | December 7, 2011 at 7:58 AM

I'll only use mayo in recipes, and never think about Miracle Whip. I used to use mayo on BLTs but then I tried ranch dressing...NOM!

no.more.burnin.H2O | December 7, 2011 at 8:03 AM

I don't even think I've every had Miracle Whip (as the crowd gasps!) And I rarely ever use Mayo.

Amanda Costella | December 7, 2011 at 8:06 AM

I'm a mayo girl myself it is just so much more delish but if Miracle whip is mixed in with other things then I can deal with it.

Janice | December 7, 2011 at 8:09 AM

Mayo definitely - and Duke's (I'm obviously from the south!).

Kate the Great | December 7, 2011 at 8:17 AM

Mayo for sure! Miracle Whip is naaaaasty!

looloolooweez | December 7, 2011 at 8:18 AM

I like both! Completely different tastes, and good on completely different types of sandwiches.

Chris Steele | December 7, 2011 at 8:24 AM

Mayo--Miracle Whip makes me gag except for a very, very few select recipes.

melle-belle | December 7, 2011 at 8:44 AM

We had Miracle Whip at home when I was a kid, but I got my taste buds on some real mayo somewhere and I made my mom start buying a bottle just for me. My bologna and cheese sandwiches have had mayo from that day forward.

Megan | December 7, 2011 at 8:51 AM

I've never had Miracle Whip actually. Give me Hellmann's any day of the week!

Cassie | December 7, 2011 at 8:53 AM

Miracle Whip! Put a teaspoon of taco seasoning into a half cup or so to give it a really great flavor!!!

Job and Rachael | December 7, 2011 at 9:11 AM

I like either, depending on what I am making. Mayo definitely for salads and such. Miracle whip is ok for sandwiches though :)

Kate | December 7, 2011 at 9:13 AM

Mayo!

$^@ntastic | December 7, 2011 at 9:16 AM

Mayo person. But, mayo from scratch person. It's insanely easy to make: egg yolk, olive oil, dijon, white wine vinegar, salt + seasonings of your choice. Belgian-style fries with mayo dipping sauces are amazing.

Liliana C. | December 7, 2011 at 9:21 AM

lite mayo if the choice is only between the two. dijonaise is better though!

Ariana McCoy | December 7, 2011 at 9:22 AM

I like both depending on what I am eating it with.

ianmcleland | December 7, 2011 at 9:23 AM

I'm with you; I grew up on Miracle Whip and bologna, but now I can't touch either one. I don't understand people who say they can't taste the difference!

Morning Glory | December 7, 2011 at 9:23 AM

Miracle Whip all the way!!!

Christina | December 7, 2011 at 9:24 AM

I could really go either way. Mayo or Miracle Whip, it's all the same to me. I know, I'm a weirdo.

Teresa F | December 7, 2011 at 9:25 AM

I like both of them! but really like Miracle Whip with french fries!

Kristina | December 7, 2011 at 9:27 AM

I prefer mayo as a condiment/ingredient over miracle whip for most things, but I grew up using miracle whip for dipping artichokes in and I actually like it when used for that!

Anonymous | December 7, 2011 at 9:28 AM

I can do either, but Id prefer Mayo if it didnt have all the fat!

Jillian | December 7, 2011 at 9:30 AM

Mayo! Definitely.

Scrapbook Sensations | December 7, 2011 at 9:33 AM

Only small amounts of either. Love the grill

Ryder | December 7, 2011 at 9:37 AM

I'm not the biggest fan of either after a disconcerting experience with one of those mayo-french fry cones in Belgium.

Can't stand miracle whip; I'd go for mayonnaise rather than mayo flavored jello like that. I miss the mayonnaise in Japan, though, it's a completely different condiment and SO much better.

Jennifer | December 7, 2011 at 9:41 AM

ewww, hate them both! lol

ShineyAim | December 7, 2011 at 9:43 AM

I grew up on Miracle Whip too, but now it's Mayo all the way! :)

dan pinto | December 7, 2011 at 9:48 AM

I don't necessarily like either. I'd go with mayo in a pinch though.

B | December 7, 2011 at 9:49 AM

Mayo! Always the mayo. I cannot STAND Miracle-Whip.

Cassie | December 7, 2011 at 9:49 AM

Regular mayo- definitely. I love the one with olive oil.

alicia m | December 7, 2011 at 9:49 AM

Are you a mayo or Miracle Whip person? Or maybe they BOTH make you gag?

I am a Miracle Whip baby all the way! Mayo is nasty looking and tastes disgusting!!!

I used to have GF grille but I lost it in the divorce (lol) so thank you for an opportunity to win a new one!!

Have a great holiday!

Margaret | December 7, 2011 at 9:53 AM

Mine is the House of Mayo, although when my side of the family comes to town they buy the whip for their personal use but as soon as their gone my husband is throwing it in the trash as if it might contaminate the mayo????LOL

Kelly Lynn | December 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM

Mayo!

Unknown | December 7, 2011 at 10:02 AM

MAYO!

Madeleine | December 7, 2011 at 10:03 AM

Mayo all the way!

Unknown | December 7, 2011 at 10:04 AM

Mayo

Catie | December 7, 2011 at 10:06 AM

Mayo, definitely! I guess if Miracle Whip was mixed into something it would be tolerable, but mayo definitely has the better taste.

Pino | December 7, 2011 at 10:09 AM

Mayo, no contest. And preferably homemade.

Alex T. | December 7, 2011 at 10:11 AM

Mayo! Miracle whip doesn't even come close.

Shannon | December 7, 2011 at 10:13 AM

Miracle Whip!

Brett and Andra | December 7, 2011 at 10:13 AM

Oh, you know that "nothing beats the tangy zip of Miracle Whip"!

Kells | December 7, 2011 at 10:14 AM

Mayo all the way. Miracle Whip tastes like Mayo with sugar to me!

Alex M | December 7, 2011 at 10:15 AM

Mayo all the way!

Lindsey McMillan | December 7, 2011 at 10:16 AM

I am not a fan of either unless they are disguised with other ingredients -- if they are disguised, I prefer Mayo!

Anne-Marie F | December 7, 2011 at 10:23 AM

For sandwiches and some recipes, it's gotta be mayo. But for my mom's potato salad and a couple other things, it's the whip (the sweet flavor finishes some things off really well).

Amanda | December 7, 2011 at 10:23 AM

I cringe to both, but the strange thing is I love potato salad, egg salad/deviled eggs, ranch dressing, which are all made with Mayo! In my 25 years of living I still cannot eat a sandwich with either on them...I don't know if it is the smell or the texture, I just can't do it.

Kyra @ RACKS and Mooby | December 7, 2011 at 10:25 AM

Mayo - hands down. MW is grody!

PrairieGreenIrene | December 7, 2011 at 10:25 AM

Neither! YUCK!

DanB | December 7, 2011 at 10:27 AM

Mayo, the sweet of Miracle Whip is not for me.

bohjudith | December 7, 2011 at 10:40 AM

MAYO. i grew up eating miracle whip and now i can't stand the smell or look of it. btw, the mayo has to be real mayo... none of this supposed 1/3 fat free garbage

had anyone else ever noticed the lil red flecks of mystery in miracle whip?

GAG.

Maureen | December 7, 2011 at 10:43 AM

I can't use either. I just can't. They both make my stomach turn.... But I used to use mayo in my tunafish, so I guess Mayo over Miracle Whip! :)

Ariana O. | December 7, 2011 at 10:44 AM

I like both but I have been buying mayo recently.

Ian MacLean | December 7, 2011 at 10:51 AM

definitely Mayo!

Nina M. | December 7, 2011 at 10:57 AM

mayo

Auspicious | December 7, 2011 at 10:58 AM

Mayo, preferably homemade.

Lisa Z | December 7, 2011 at 11:06 AM

Light mayo, please - no miracle whip! It is too sweet!

E | December 7, 2011 at 11:10 AM

Mayo!

E | December 7, 2011 at 11:12 AM

Mayo!

Flight Attendant Extraordinaire | December 7, 2011 at 11:13 AM

Like you, I grew up on Miracle Whip (for whatever reason, my dad used to call it "Hillbilly Butter") but have since made the switch to mayo. Miracle Whip just seems waaaay too sweet for me anymore.

Beckie | December 7, 2011 at 11:13 AM

I dont love either- but if I have to have alittle of something- I use mayo-- I really prefer ranch on my sandwiches!!!

Losing it for Jesus | December 7, 2011 at 11:15 AM

I am a Duke's mayo girl. All. The. Way! :)

Jennifer M. | December 7, 2011 at 11:27 AM

To be honest I do not like either! The thought of using white gunk that has been processed & marinating in a jar for god knows how long makes me a little sick to my tummy! I prefer to blend up or mash one avocado with just a squeeze of lemon and a hint of spice to match whatever it is that I'm putting it in. I tend to like a little spiciness with it. ;)

Meredith | December 7, 2011 at 11:29 AM

Miracle Whip for tuna, Mayo for everything else!

Planker Power | December 7, 2011 at 11:35 AM

Mayo, but I usually substitute greek yogurt when possible. My only exception is Miracle whip on day after Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches.

Alejandra | December 7, 2011 at 11:36 AM

Mayo only.

Katie | December 7, 2011 at 11:37 AM

Honestly I don't like either of them on their own. Mayo is acceptable only in "salads" like potato or tuna. I never had Miracle Whip until I found out that it is part of my favorite Reuben sandwich, but then again, a Reuben sandwich is magical in the way it sounds gross in theory but tastes good in fact.

Sofie | December 7, 2011 at 11:53 AM

Neither, thank you very much! :)

Cassie McGoldrick | December 7, 2011 at 11:58 AM

MAYO FO SHO

happical | December 7, 2011 at 12:02 PM

NEITHER!!

emgardner | December 7, 2011 at 12:06 PM

If I have to choose, then it's mayo. Used sparingly. Although I love it when it's well-hidden in a dip.

agielboy | December 7, 2011 at 12:14 PM

Mayo, all the way!

Melissa E. | December 7, 2011 at 12:14 PM

Mayo on sandwiches, Miracle Whip in salads!

Lindsay C | December 7, 2011 at 12:18 PM

I've always been a believer in miracle whip, to the point that someone bought me a t-shirt that says "god uses miracle whip" because apparently I was THAT adament at times. But I do enjoy Mayo of the light variety in many things considering thats what the majority of restaurants use.

Seong Im Hong | December 7, 2011 at 12:20 PM

Never had miracle whip, but Mayo is okay on occasion. Both sound pretty disgusting by the ingredients, though.

The Price Family | December 7, 2011 at 12:25 PM

Mayo all the way! We like to call that other gross stuff "miracle whimp" I can't even stand it if it's masked in potato or macaroni salad. BLEK! thinking of miracle whimp makes me barf in my mouth a little! ;)

amm | December 7, 2011 at 12:30 PM

I grew up on mayo, but actually really like Miracle Whip nowadays. But I'm fine with either; I'm not picky! :)

Alyson O'Holic | December 7, 2011 at 12:53 PM

Definitely Mayo - Miracle Whip is too sickly sweet for me!

JessicaDzl | December 7, 2011 at 12:55 PM

Mayo! Like you said, the smell of miracle whip makes me gag. I grew up on it, my roommate loves it, but I prefer the subtle taste of mayo.

Keri | December 7, 2011 at 12:58 PM

Miracle Whip!

Jennifer | December 7, 2011 at 12:59 PM

Mayo! Thanks for the opportunity!

Elizabeth W. | December 7, 2011 at 1:16 PM

Mayo, I've never really understood the appeal of Miracle Whip.

sam | December 7, 2011 at 1:41 PM

mayo, definitely. miracle whip just doesn't taste good to me.

Kerri | December 7, 2011 at 2:14 PM

mayo all the way!!

lilosubabe | December 7, 2011 at 2:16 PM

Miracle Whip! I love mayo on everything! :)

Brittany Smith | December 7, 2011 at 2:21 PM

Mayo, definitely. I don't like either my sandwiches, but for things like egg salad, dips, and cake (I know, gross and weird -- but trust me!), I go with the real thing!

Taryn | December 7, 2011 at 2:22 PM

Yuck to both :P

Melissa | December 7, 2011 at 2:35 PM

I definitely love MAYO - but will use miracle whip in some salad dressings!

Samantha | December 7, 2011 at 2:49 PM

I am a miracle whip girl for sandwiches but Mayo for dips and cooking type things. My husband hates both!

Linda F. | December 7, 2011 at 2:54 PM

Love - mayo but we are a family divided, husband, daughter love miracle whip

Farrah | December 7, 2011 at 3:10 PM

I am definitely a mayo girl. I think Miracle Whip is weird.

RogueEpicurean | December 7, 2011 at 3:13 PM

I rarely eat mayo but I prefer it to be real mayo.

Cmcman | December 7, 2011 at 3:16 PM

Mayo is the way to go

Stephanie | December 7, 2011 at 3:16 PM

Used to be Miracle Whip, now neither!

Becky Anderson | December 7, 2011 at 3:16 PM

mayo for sure.

Kathy | December 7, 2011 at 3:18 PM

Mayo, hands down. It wraps everything in goodness. Whip tastes like bad salad dressing.

The Hedges | December 7, 2011 at 3:20 PM

Eww, neither!

Cristina | December 7, 2011 at 3:27 PM

I like Spectrum mayo with Omega 3's. Might as well go all the way with mayo and get some nutrients out of it, Whip is all chemicals and flavorings!

storrens | December 7, 2011 at 3:28 PM

We might be an odd breed, but everyone in my family likes both Mayo and Miracle Whip. I believe each have their places in the world. A silly tidbit-- when I was younger, my dad and I would slather Wonder Bread with Miracle Whip and we would dip it in our coffee for breakfast (you must try before you can justify making a squiggly face!)

Things I like M.W. for: Tuna Salad, Egg Sandwiches, Tomato Sandwiches, Egg Salad, Ham Sandwiches

Things I like Mayo for: Ham Salad, Burgers, Recipes/Dips, Turkey Sandwiches, With Mustard, Chicken Salad, To make salad dressings, Potato Salad

Mayo. Always, always, ALWAYS mayo. I tried Miracle Whip once and had to throw my sandwich away because my taste buds straight revolted.

kerstenmarie | December 7, 2011 at 3:47 PM

Mayo. Which is tragic, for everyone else in my family is miracle whip.

Nic | December 7, 2011 at 3:50 PM

Sorry but both make me want to barf. :(

Lauren Beall | December 7, 2011 at 3:57 PM

EW to both. I don't think I've EVER cooked with mayo or mayonnaise. I find them both disgusting. On sandwiches, I used hummus, and in recipes I try to substitute greek yogurt.

Dilem*mama | December 7, 2011 at 4:04 PM

miracle whip all the way

Joe | December 7, 2011 at 4:21 PM

Mayo!

sunburstflacon | December 7, 2011 at 4:25 PM

Mayo w/ Siracha :-) spicy

Jaclyn | December 7, 2011 at 4:38 PM

Miracle Whip all the way!

Shannon.Doll | December 7, 2011 at 4:38 PM

Team MAYO 100%!!

Dana | December 7, 2011 at 5:16 PM

Not a huge fan of either, but I would pick mayo over miracle whip.

Nicole | December 7, 2011 at 5:17 PM

I love miracle whip! Sometimes I eat wonder bread with plain with a little zip of the whip.

remonster | December 7, 2011 at 5:18 PM

I didn't even know there was a difference up until a few years ago when my mom told me to buy mayo while I was at the grocery store and I came back with Miracle Whip. I really don't care either way, but I suppose I would choose mayo over Miracle whip.

Isobel | December 7, 2011 at 5:18 PM

Mayo!! Use it for everything.. people who don't love it just don't have refined enough tastes. Miracle Whip scares me on some fundamental level.

Laura | December 7, 2011 at 5:24 PM

I always hated Mayo until I started making my own. so yummy and soo much healthier!

Nicole | December 7, 2011 at 5:26 PM

Helman's Mayonnaise is my only mayo.

Nicole | December 7, 2011 at 5:28 PM

Helman's Mayonnaise is my only mayo.

Ariella D | December 7, 2011 at 5:41 PM

I'll go for either really, depends what's on sale in the supermarket!

Jen | December 7, 2011 at 5:50 PM

I'm a mayo fan! I like to mix in some black pepper, oregano and a little cayenne pepper for some flavor. YUM!

Gina | December 7, 2011 at 5:50 PM

I grew up hating mayonnaise, until i tasted it as an adult! Yum!!!!! Mayo all the way!

Linda | December 7, 2011 at 5:51 PM

Miracle Whip with peanut butter is so yummy.

Rachel | December 7, 2011 at 5:56 PM

Both are pretty gross unless in something like deviled eggs, but never ever plain spread on a sandwich!

Anonymous | December 7, 2011 at 5:58 PM

I too grew up a "Whip" child but now I use Best Foods light mayo. I can't remember when I made the switch but I can't go back. I do still like Miracle Whip in deviled eggs though. Go figure!

Nicky S | December 7, 2011 at 5:58 PM

I love mayo and hate miracle whip. It's weird because as a child I loved ham and miracle whip sandwiches on wonder bread. Now I can't stand m.w. or white bread!!

Claudio | December 7, 2011 at 6:00 PM

I have to go with mayo. Miracle whip just doesn't have the right consistency for me.

MindyD | December 7, 2011 at 6:02 PM

Neither, please! I detest mayo and miracle whip - bleck. I will allow mayo in deviled eggs, but that's really the only thing.

MAYOOOO!!!

Unknown | December 7, 2011 at 6:04 PM

i'm not really a mayonnaise OR a miracle whip person...if i need to make a sandwich less dry i'll just use a little spreadable butter, and i do my best to avoid recipes that call for mayo. i don't know what it is about the stuff, but i hate it, in all forms!

Nick | December 7, 2011 at 6:10 PM

Mayo almost all the way. Miracle whip is delectable on ham sandwiches with mustard and ultra spongey wonder type white bread....

Esti | December 7, 2011 at 6:12 PM

Mayo, but only as an ingredient, or heavily mixed with sriracha sauce. Miracle Whip makes my scalp crawl.

C. | December 7, 2011 at 6:13 PM

MW on cold cut sammiches... or on toast, which I know will make the anti-Whip-people want to gag but it's an odd family comfort food from my childhood. Mayo for *everything* else from tuna salad to dipping french fries.

Mallory | December 7, 2011 at 6:17 PM

Mayo. All the way.

Katie | December 7, 2011 at 6:29 PM

Ew, neither! But if it happens to sneak on a sandwich, I'll leave it on there.

Karen P | December 7, 2011 at 6:34 PM

I really don't like either, but I guess miracle whip tastes worse to me than mayo.

SusieE | December 7, 2011 at 6:38 PM

most assuredly mayo...

Anonymous | December 7, 2011 at 6:48 PM

Mayo!! I can't stand the taste of Miracle Whip.

Lindsay | December 7, 2011 at 7:03 PM

mayo

Lindsay | December 7, 2011 at 7:03 PM

mayo

Lindsay Fairchild | December 7, 2011 at 7:25 PM

Neither if at all possible. But if I have to use it, like with tuna, chicken, egg, seafood, etc. salad, it has to be mayo, preferably homemade.

OliviaSweets | December 7, 2011 at 7:39 PM

Miracle Whip for tuna salad or turkey sandwiches , but mayo is the perfect base for my curry dip!

Andrea M. | December 7, 2011 at 7:54 PM

miracle whip all the way. actual mayo kinda grosses me out.

Anonymous | December 7, 2011 at 8:03 PM

Like em both, but for different reasons. Mayo for almost everything, but Miracle Whip on a meat sandwich is a suitable substitute.

missleeann | December 7, 2011 at 8:18 PM

I liked Mayo, but I tend to not use either. Mustard is far better, especially with cheese.

Sally | December 7, 2011 at 8:36 PM

I looove mayo! I don't even think I've ever considered using Miracle Whip instead of mayo.

Jennifer Bird | December 7, 2011 at 9:01 PM

I love Miracle Whip. Interestingly, my SO doesn't. (I'm female, SO is male.) We are reversed! I was raised on mayo and my mom is horrified. But, mayo has its place. (Like in broc salad!)

roughmetaphors | December 7, 2011 at 9:02 PM

Neither - I can't stand the taste of either of them.

Jessica P | December 7, 2011 at 9:44 PM

I don't like either of them unless they are in my favorite macaroni salad, which uses both! Weird, huh?

jin419 | December 7, 2011 at 10:09 PM

MAYO! i like to add things to the mayo... to give it some zip~ with miracle whip... something just doesn't work.

DigitalAngel | December 7, 2011 at 10:14 PM

Definitely mayo! There some really good light versions :)

oops! how do i work this thing?!? i mean to say, that i have tried but no, pass the anything else.

Cat | December 7, 2011 at 10:29 PM

I would much rather eat a dry sandwich and have it stick to the roof of my mouth than eat Miracle Whip. I am lucky I live fairly south and am able to get Duke's mayonnaise. Their light is absolutely the best.

Gina | December 7, 2011 at 10:35 PM

Mayo!! MW is nasty! lol.

Melissa Calo-oy | December 8, 2011 at 12:03 AM

Mayo for sure! I don't like that Miracle Whip tang!

D Smith | December 8, 2011 at 1:03 AM

I had to google image search to figure out what I get, but apparently I'm a mayo girl (on account of it being the smallest bottle typically. Though to be honest I prefer using hummus-delicous and healthy, and it gets that creaminess just right. :D

Paula | December 8, 2011 at 1:15 AM

I, too, started out as a Whip fan. I thought Mayo had no flavor and was just gross. I was 'shamed' into trying mayo by my mother in law. LOL Something about the mature palate appreciating mayo... well that was many years ago. I do use mayo but spike it with garlic, lemon, hot sauce or cayenne pepper. Actually I haven't had Whip in years....maybe it's time to re visit it!

Cristyannie | December 8, 2011 at 1:55 AM

Yuck! Both make me gag!

Bonpierce | December 8, 2011 at 4:24 AM

Miracle Whip. Loving it since the 60's.

Anonymous | December 8, 2011 at 5:24 AM

Mayo!! In particular with ketch-up and fries.

Anonymous | December 8, 2011 at 6:29 AM

The real thing for me Mayo

Cath | December 8, 2011 at 7:35 AM

AJ | December 8, 2011 at 8:06 AM

I don't use much, but definitely mayo when I do. I like the newer olive oil versions.

Lara | December 8, 2011 at 9:34 AM

Mayo, I guess. I don't think I've ever bought miracle whip!

Mary in MN | December 8, 2011 at 9:58 AM

Hate, hate, HATE Miracle Whip. Love mayo, but can only eat the non-fat version (blah!) when I dieting.
