4 WEEKS of GIVEAWAYS
week #4 [CLOSED]
In the continuing celebration of Budget Bytes reaching 10,000 RSS subscribers, I bring you Week #4 of the 4 Weeks of Giveaways!I've had so much fun reading everyone's responses to the other giveaways, I'm a little sad this will be the last one (for a little while, at least!). Deciding on the last prize was a little tough, but I had to go with my gut.
I know not everyone likes the 'ol George Foreman grill, but I've found mine to be beyond valuable. Like any appliance, it's not great for everything, but it does some things very, very well. If you live in an apartment or just otherwise don't have a real grill, this little guy can be a life saver. I've grilled vegetables on it, made panini's, and it's my go-to piece of equipment for quickly cooking chicken.
I bought my old-school, little-bitty George Foreman grill well over ten years ago and it's still going strong. The model I'm giving away today is bigger, better, and redder! Ha! I hope it goes to someone who gets as much use out of it as I do mine!
Giveaway #3 - 72 sq. inch George Foreman Grill (Red)
This week's questions is all for fun:

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 448 Newer› Newest»all the same to me! i don't use it enough to really tell a difference. oh and i need this little grill! so many food stuffs to make with it :)
miracle whip!
They both make me gag horribly, though I do love using mayo to make my chocolate cake super moist and delish.
I grew up with Miracle Whip because my mom liked it, but I prefer mayonnaise now.
Mayo all the way
It depends! Sandwiches? Mayo. Deviled Eggs? Miracle Whip!
Mayo. Definitely mayo.
Mayo all the way! I can't even switch to the low fat stuff it just doesn't taste in same in tuna salad!
Mayo all the way! I grew up on Miracle Whip as well, but after switching, Miracle Whip just doesn't taste right!
Mayo all the way. It is better for you too.
NEITHER!
I'd have to go with Mayo, I'm not even sure what Miracle Whip is. And I've made myself mayo before which was pretty cool and very tasty. But oh god the oil...
Miracle Whip!
I'm glad I'm not the only one...
i like both! i like mayo on meat sandwiches and miracle whip on cheese sandwiches!
I don't know what Miracle Whip is! Maybe it's an American thing? Anyway, you can't beat a bit of mayo on your chips, so I'll have to go with that!
I'll eat either. Mayo is becoming a tiny bit cringe worthy to me though.
My mom buys Miracle Whip because my dad likes it, but I think it taste to much like vinegar. I love mayo in an egg sandwich or to dip french fries!
Mayo only!
Mayo, though I used to put Miracle Whip on cottage cheese. My father was a bad influence.
I liked Miracle Whip as a kid, but my husband doesn't like any dressing, so I just stopped using it. I still like it in deviled eggs though. I just use Ranch dressing on sandwiches instead now.
Mayo!
If I had to choose one, I'd pick Mayo. I'm sure it's better for you too!
Earth Balanced vegan mayo for me. I grew up on Miracle Whip but now I just find it disgusting.
I don't really like either. Although every now and then I like to use a little bit of the Olive Oil Mayo on a sandwich. But just a little!
Mayo for sure
Mayo!!!
I rarely use either, but when I do ( rare occasion I make tuna or chicken salad sammies), I have to go with mayo
Mayo all the way. Miracle Whip is yuck. it is sweet and ruins the taste of tuna salad.
Lynnfinley65@cox.net
MAYO! I don't like the consistency of Miracle Whip. It seems fake to me.
Nothing beats real Mayo.
I can tolorate either in tuna salad but other than that I don't like either.
NO MIRACLE WHIP! haha
I actually don'y have strong opinions, but I only eat mayo.
I rarely use either, but when I do - MAYO!
Neither! By the Gods, neither!
I think I'd go with mayo, although neither are very appealing!
When I was younger, I was a real picky little turd of a kid. My family frequented a local pizzeria for their fantastic subs. Turkey, mayo and lettuce. That's all I ever got. One fateful day they wound up putting Miracle Whip on my sub. It was vile! Putrid! Horrible! Sooo yeah, definitely a mayo kinda gal.
Homemade mayo is really where it's at. Hope the person who won the food processor is out there making boatloads of the stuff!
I love both and use them both in different way at different times.
I love Whip all the way, I feel so lonley.
How could you say both in the same sentence. MAYO~! all the way~!
Mayo!
Miracle Whip is the bomb! I didn't even know there was a difference between the two until I was about 15. lol
Mayo - Dukes is the best!!
Definitely mayo. It's wierd, I hated it when I was a kid but through time I fell in love with it. I can't have a sandwich without mayo (Best Foods, of course).
I don't totally hate Miracle Whip, but the fact is that I wasn't exposed to it until I was in my 20's. It has that certain tang that I think is good in (some) pasta and potato salads.
I grew up eating Miracle Whip too! And then I didn't like either, but now at the ripe age of 23, I am a total Mayo with Olive Oil person and I will never go back!!!
Mayo all the way! I remember gagging the first time I had Miracle Whip and I've never been able to go back to it since.
I've never had Miracle Whip, but as a hip, urban twentysomething, I feel like I should support it. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1016308824016
Most definitely mayo! Chipotle mayo.. Pesto mayo.. So much mayo.
Mayo!!
Miracle whip has its place, and there is only one place: roast beef sandwich on white bread. Other than that specific meal, I'm mayo all the way! My husband and I are at odds on this matter--we have a jar of each in the refrigerator at all times.
MAYO!! Gotta go for the real thing!!
Blegh...neither. I stay FAR away from both.
Mayo is what I buy although I don't mind miracle whip on a sandwich.
Mayo - especially Japanese mayo or wasabi flavoured mayo.
My mom loves buying Miracle Whip for sandwiches though. She says it's "healthier."
Mayo for sure!
Depends. On sandwiches, Miracle Whip. In everything else, Helman's REAL Mayo. LOVE both. Just thinking about it makes me want some deviled eggs!
Neither really - I've never liked the idea of mayo and only really used it as the necessary glue (ew) in tuna salad or maaaaybe on a BLT, but now I'm trying to use greek yogurt as a substitute whenever possible.
I'm not a huge fan of either but if I had to choose...mayo.
I don't really like either but my family is very strongly for miracle whip so I will stay true to them :)
Mayo!
Mayo!
Mayo
Kraft mayo with olive oil, even the kids agree on that one. But I like Miracle Whip on a good cheese sandwich too!
I like Miracle Whip on sandwiches, but mayo in potato or pasta salad.
Homemade mayo is the way to go :) So much "fresher" tasting and not as strong of a taste or smell. Goes great on homemade toasted bahn mi
I like 'em both of course!!
Hellman's at mom's, Miracle Whip at stepmom's. I didn't care much either way, liked the tang of Miracle Whip as a kid. As an adult, I have a strong preference for Duke's Mayo.
I don't really notice a difference since it is mostly used just to add a hint of creaminess more than for its flavor... I bet I'd have a preference if I made aioli or something like that!
Mayo! I'm not big mayo user, but when I do need it, I like using Mayo made with olive oil. It's richer.
miracle whip
I use both, but it depends on the application. Sandwiches: Miracle Whip. Tuna salad and other recipes: mayo.
Oh no, both really do make me gag... but if I've GOT to pick, mayo for sure.
I use both but probably prefer Miracle Whip because it seems healthier.
Mayo. Homemade mayo. Miracle whip is philistine vulgarity.
Mayo all the way! Miracle Whip just tastes too "fake" to me.
For sure mayo! I'm not a huge mayo eater, but sometimes you need a little something and a little mayo is what does the trick for me. Miracle Whip is too sweet, blah!
Mayo! Vegan alternative "Vegenaise" is really pretty good, too. I worked at a Spanish tapas restaurant where the chef made Ali-oli, which is essentially a really garlicky and lemony homemade mayonnaise served in Spain with baguette and that is the mother of all mayo. So, so delicious!!!
Only mayo!
mayo! Miracle whip tastes fake.
The mere thought of mayo makes me want to yak. I had a friend in high school who used to order extra mayo on burgers, and watching him eat one actually made me physically ill once. DOWN WITH MAYO!!
Miracle Whip isn't nearly so offensive, but I usually go for the no name "whipped dressing" instead - cheaper and tastes pretty much the same. It also never seems to go bad. Although that maybe isn't a good thing...?
Mayo!!
Homemade mayo made in the food processor! So good!
I'm from Europe, and although I've heard of Miracle Whip, I've never tasted it...so definitely mayo. Has to be Heinz or Hellman's.
Mayo all the way. :-)
mayo
I'll use either if needed in a recipe. However, on a sandwich or any sort if mayo heavy salad... Blah! Neither! Love my condiments, but hate the mayo! Real, or fake ha :)
I prefer mayo if I have to have one or the other - I actually was a very picky child and have only worked up to condiments on sandwiches within the last couple years. My husband prefers miracle whip though, so we end up with a bottle of that in the fridge, lol.
I'm not a fan of either, bit if I were to choose one, it would definitely be mayo. It has a more authentic taste.
miracle whip please!
Thank you :)
My boyfriend swears by Miracle Whip and if I said mayo, he'd never forgive me, haha. Miracle Whip!
Mayo only please.
I always ate miracle whip growing up, but now I've switched to mayo. I prefer the one made with olive oil though because it tastes a little less strong to me!
Mayo all the way, baby!
Mayo! Miracle whip is so... weird.
I really consider these two polar opposites... I love Mayo on stuff, but Miracle Whip makes me gag. It's like substituting lard for butter...
I had an aversion to mayo until a few months ago, but I've since embraced it. I've never even tasted Miracle Whip!
I am a mayo only kind of person! I made the switch from miracle whip when I moved out on my own and can definitely taste the difference!
Mayo, for sure!
Miracle Whip... I don't know. It just tastes kind of weird and sweetish to me. Definitely grosses me out.
Mayo is where its at, miracle whip is gross!
I can't stand either. Ew!
Like you, I grew on Miracle Whip, but after switching, I mayo never go back. Mayo doesn't mess with the flavor of the food like the vinegary sweetness of Miracle Whip does, and if you are inclined to enhance the mayo with chipotle, garlic, or pesto you can.
Grew up on Miracle Whip, but started using Mayo after I got married. Now I usually buy Mayo but I don't have a problem with MW!
Ugh neither thanks. Both make me feel slightly vomitous.
Mayo for sure!

I "like" you on FB.

When I was younger and someone finally convinced my picky self to try Miracle Whip, I decided I liked it (only in tuna sandwiches) and that it was the ONLY one I liked. Mayo was still disgusting. When I got a little older (and barely picky at all) I tried mayo and discovered that it was actually MAYO that I liked, not Miracle Whip :) Still a mayo lover now, especially homemade!! No Miracle Whip for me please :P
charysma88[at]hotmail[dot]com
Mayo, because...I've never had Miracle Whip! I like my mayo spicy so I mix some Sriracha with it :]
Mayo all the way. I grew up on Whip, but now I can't stomach it. I make my own mayo or buy Japanese Kewpie Mayo.
Whats miracle whip? Must be an american thing. I like making my own mayo :)
Definitely Mayo. But better yet brown mustard and/or horseradish!
I actually like both!
Mayo or MW? Neither, just give me mayo.
I also grew up on Miracle Whip but I have since realized the errors of my ways! Real mayonnaise is the only way to go! I believe The Oatmeal sums it up nicely: http://theoatmeal.com/blog/miracle_whip
Okay. Not so nicely, or even appropriate really, but I'm pretty sure it expresses how we all feel about Miracle Whip!
Neither. I don't like store bought mayo or miracle whip. I LOVE making my own aioli and mayo. Roasted garlic, chipotle, Meyer lemon, sundried tomato, yummy. I'm going make some now.
Mayo all the way! If you're gonna eat a mayo like thing might as well go all the way and do it right :D
Mayo if I must, otherwise usually neither lol.
Mayo! Nothing like the real thing!
Neither, I do not like MAYO!!! I use greek yogurt in place of mayo in everything
Mayo!
I grew up loving Miracle whip..been on a diet for 8 months now and when I tried it during my maintenance phase it was nasty..so tried Mayo and OMGEEEE it was so good..
mayo, but only in small doses.
Mayo!
Aioli! (Wait, was that not an option?) :)
Miracle Whip
miracle whip for me
mayo all the way, baby!
Mayo!
Mayo for sure! My husband will only eat Miracle Whip, though, so we have to have both in the house. Blech, miracle whip.
Definitely mayo... but I can't tolerate too much of it. I usually spread a sparse amount on one slice of bread or toast for a sandwich or put a dollup or two in with a can of tuna and some pepper.
When I was young, we always had Miracle Whip in the house. Now I can't stand it. I LOVE MAYO!!! Wish it wasn't so bad for me!
mayo! Though I usually only have it with french fries... om nom nom.
100% Mayo. I find miracle whip to be way to sweet!
I'm in the 'both make me gag' category! I used to love mayo when I was younger, but it was an easy way to cut calories on sandwiches when I got older, and I never looked back!
Growing up, my mom always bought Miracle Whip and I used to eat slices of bread with it slathered on there. Somewhere along the lines, I decided it was disgusting and the second I left for college, I started buying Hellman's and never looked back!:-)
Mayo all the way! But I do like to use canola oil or olive oil mayo now.
No thank you!! Both kind of gross me out, if I am handling them, to be honest. I have, though, used mayo for my grilled cheese sandwiches before-- not on the sandwich, but to replace the butter, as someone said it works really well. It didn't stick at all, like butter had been doing in some pans, and it fried to a perfect crispy tan.
I went back to doing butter, though, after a few times... because I like the buttery flavor and, well, like I said-- spreading mayo tends to squick me out.
It's all about the mayo! I discovered it when I was about 18 and I feel in love. I'm a bit mad at my mom for forcing us to eat Miracle Whip all these years....
I've been a Miracle Whip girl all my life, but that could be subject to change once I try the Mayo. And I am desperately wanting this George Foreman grill. Thanks for the contest!
Carmee Ross
mayo!
Mayo, definitely. Although my grandmother insists that you should ALWAYS use Miracle Whip for the perfect deviled eggs.
Mayo all the way. In fact I think Best Foods makes the best mayo! I can never stuck miracle whip, yuck :p!
Mayo it is. Miracle whip just doesn't do it :)
I think any type of mayonnaise is gag city! The thought of someone just whipping egg til you can spread it makes me feel gross.
I'm like you, grew up with miracle whip, but now I'm a mayo lady. I can still handle both, though.
mayo! hands down. it's good on everything!
xxalainaxx
i would prefer either...but only a small amount. mayo normally, miracle whip for chicken salad.
I am mostly a "No thank you" girl. I would love to have the George Foreman grill!!!
rhondaree1958@yahoo.com
MAYO!!! I cannot stand Miracle Whip! It's weird sweet tange makes me cringe! :o)
light Mayo. NOT MIRACLE WHIP!!!
MAYO!! I can't stand the weird tang of Miracle Whip!
I liked you on facebook a while back :o)
Definitely Mayo, but in small doses.
I love Mayo! I'm looking for the uber creamy, not the tang of Miracle Whip.
I, too, grew up on Miracle Whip. At one point when I used mayo more, I made my own. Now, on the rare occasion I use it, Mayo Light is my choice.
Well, given that we don't have Miracle Whip in Australia, I'm going to pick mayo!!
It depends on what I'm making. If it's a sandwich, I prefer MW, but in recipes, I prefer mayo.
I don't like either.
Annie
I definitely prefer Miracle Whip for sandwiches - but DH doesn't, so sometimes I will mix the two if I'm making chicken salad or something that calls for it. I typically can't stand "real" mayo in anything.
Miracle whip hands down. I'll tell you why - mayonnaise tastes like a layer of lard on my sandwhich! What can I say? I'm just a li'l tangy! ;) Oh, by the way, I look good in red.
rachelss1986@gmail.com
Gaaagggggg. Ok well, if I must, I can handle a little mayo. Miracle Whip is oddly sweet!
I do not like mayo or miracle whip! I use to like mayo but I got really sick one time eating a sandwich that had wayyyy too much mayo on it. Since then I have not been able to eat it or anything like it.
My Belgian heritage would never let me accept anything other than mayonnaise!
I despise any mayonnaise product!
Mayo!
Mayo all the way! I wish restaurants would sell that stuff in bulk!
Mmmmm mayo.....
Mayo. No question asked. :)
I prefer mayo, but I'll take miracle whip if it's all there is. 8) Lunchtime at grandma's catered to both tastes.
Miracle Whip! It's what we always had in my house as a kid!
B A C O N A I S E Believe.
I prefer mayo. Miracle Whip tastes so sweet to me!
miracle whip growing up now only a thin coating of full-fat mayo!
Mayo! Blue Plate is the best, but I'm pretty sure it's a local brand.
Mayo all the way! ..in fact, I've even changed my taste buds it seems to prefer the mayo made with olive oil. I tried some regular Hellman's at my mom's at Thxgiving and made an icky face ;p
Miracle whip for sandwiches, mayo for cooking.
I'm not a huge fan of either, but some things just need mayo!
Both, depends on what I am making.
Mayo, most definitely. Blue Plate every time.
Also, the rules say "3.The contest is open NOW through 12:01 AM Saturday, 12/03/12 (Eastern Standard Time)", I hope that's the wrong date...
I was brought up with Miracle Whip, too, but discovered the joy that is real mayo while pregnant with my third child!
Mayo, but only on specific sandwiches. That being said, I've never actually tasted miracle whip, so I don't know for sure :)
I only use Miracle Whip when I want a tuna sandwich. And *maybe* sometimes on my BLT. As for any other time... I'll pass on both.
Ugh, I hate mayo AND miracle whip, though I'd rather run into mayo if I've got the choice.
...I guess I like flavoured mayonnaise. And when it's clear it didn't come from a jar.
I use light mayo, and don't understand all the hate it gets sometimes!
I grew up with miracle whip, since my mom grew up in the kind of family that layers jello with mayo and calls it a salad. I don't care much for mayo, but I've been giving it a fair shot with some of your recipes! (honey mustard chicken tonight...so good and plenty for wraps tomorrow.) Even though we use a low-fat, olive oil-based mayo, I try to keep it minimal and add fat free greek yogurt wherever I can! It's great on its own, but also makes a great substitute for mayo or sour cream so far. I've made potato salads, tacos, and even honey mustard dipping sauce tonight with it.
They both make me gag. Just pass me the ketchup!
Mayo! Used to be Miracle Whip, but my husband converted me...
MAYO!!!
Mayo all the way, baby! I grew up with both available, but never liked the taste of Miracle Whip. It's just too sweet.
I'd LOVE a George Foreman grill - it's always been on my kitchen wishlist, but I've never gotten around to buying one. :)
mayo.
I'm not a big mayo fan as it is, but if I have to choose, I'd always choose the real stuff over Miracle Whip!
Mayo!!
Seriously Who would ever choose miracle Whip?! That's Just unamerican. Mayo all the way. I like the kind that's made with olive oil. I can still get my mayo on without feeling like a complete chubber.
None of the above! I dislike them both equally.
Definitely mayo. I love the olive oil version. Just wish I could find the squeezable version!
neither. yuck. give me mustard, please, any day.
Mayo please! :)
MAYO!
Miracle Whip usually, but I won't refuse mayo. I grew up with Whip, so I am sure nostalgia has something to do with my preference. :)
Miracle Whip! But, certain recipes need mayo.
Mayo all the way!
mayo fo sho!
