4 WEEKS of GIVEAWAYS
week #1 [CLOSED]
Today is a big day for Budget Bytes. No, not big, monumental. Today the number of subscribers to the Budget Bytes RSS feed officially topped 10,000 people.I never knew the blog would go this far and it probably wouldn't have without all of you. I want to thank each and everyone one of you (RSS subscriber or not) for your feedback and support. If it wasn't for you, Budget Bytes would not still be around and it certainly would not have come this far! YOU are a wonderful community of people who have enriched my life beyond belief. Thank you!
As a thank you, I'm officially kicking off 4 Weeks of Giveaways! That's right, every Tuesday for the next four weeks I'll be introducing a new giveaway! I have chosen four items that I love or have been very helpful to me in my cooking adventures. The giveaways are open to both U.S. and international readers. All prizes have been chosen from Amazon Global for international shipping availability. If for some reason there is a shipping restriction to your location, a comparable prize will be chosen at my discretion.
Giveaway #1 - Black & Decker 8-cup Food Processor

This is not the exact food processor that I own (mine wasn't available on Amazon Global) but it has great reviews and looks to be about the same size and caliber. I didn't own a food processor until last year when my mom bought me this one for Christmas. Since then, I've been using it to make all sorts of yummy things like hummus, falafel, and pie crust! It really has expanded my culinary abilities and you don't have to spend hundreds get one that works!
I hope the lucky winner gets as much use out of this one as I have mine!

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 927 Newer› Newest»I refuse to eat beets or cottage cheese. UGH
I HATE chocolate.... strange, i know!
I REFUSE to eat BEETS!
I refuse to eat salmon.
I'm with Liz on the beets AND cottage cheese - we should be food friends. I also refuse to eat asparagus and lima beans. It makes me shudder to even think about it.
Hmmm...I refuse to eat cow tongue or frog legs. Yes, there is a restaurant here that serves both.
I refuse to eat uni. I tried it once and it tastes like an aquarium sponge.
I absolutely refuse to eat oysters...EW! so slimy.
I cannot eat squid....ewwwww
I refuse to eat raw oysters. I've lived in Louisiana my entire life and just the thought disgusts me. Can't do it..Won't do it. Ever..period.
i refuse to eat fish...of any kind
watermelon.... im from the south and 99% of everyone loves it but it is the top hated melon by me, honeydew and cantalope are close behind though.
zactyser@gmail.com
I refuse to eat sauerkraut! But looking at some of the other posts, I think I would have to add frog legs, and other weird animals.
I refuse to eat cheap processed fish cakes. They are just mashed potato cakes that have been scared with a bit of cod. I much prefer to make my own!!
I refuse to eat two things
1) Coconut
2) Raisins that have been cooked/baked.
Both are a textural thing. I love Beets and Cottage cheese though!
I refuse to eat bananas...call me crazy but I hate the texture. Blech!!
I refuse to eat raw fish even though my hubby loves sushi...
Roasted red peppers. Ugh, just the thought makes me feel ill.
I refuse to eat spinach and dark chocolate.
Lots of things! I refuse to eat bananas, meat loaf, pickles, peas, gross!
I refuse to eat olives!
I refuse to eat souse! I grew up on a farm but still to this day can not stomach the thought of eating it!
Lettuce. It makes me irrationally angry when it sneaks into my food. No idea why, I just hate it so much.
Octopus!
I refuse to eat salmon. Ick >.<
Escargot. They might be fancy, but I just can't do it!
I can not stand large curd cottage cheese. The texture... holy moley!
I refuse to eat any of those weird organ meats, like hearts or liver or "sweetbreads." Ugh, nothing about those things appeals to me!
I refuse to eat oysters. and bananas - but that is due to a rather severe and worsening allergic reaction they give me
Many vegetables, including lettuce and broccoli.
I won't eat Octopus. They're such curious, intelligent, gentle creatures (unless you're its lunch!). Of course, I could say the same about pigs, but I eat them happily (bring on the bacon!). :)
I refuse to eat fish!
Pickles. And mustard. Uck!
I refuse to eat mushrooms. The texture is way too odd and the prospect of eating a fungus just creeps me out.
Mushrooms. Ugh.
i will not go near brussel sprouts, gross!
with the cottage cheese and sauerkrauters! i also hate capers.
I'll try almost anything, but I draw the line at insects.
Liver. Noooooo thank you.
I refuse to eat canned pastas (spaghettio's or something...). My boyfriend likes it, but to me it's disgusting.
it took me a while to come up with something (i like all food!) but yeah... i refuse to eat BRAIN!
I refuse to eat cooked carrots. No matter the recipe, they always taste like pennies to me. But I love them raw. Weird, I know.
I refuse to eat oysters or anything slimey looking, it's a texture thing!
Mia Dube'
I'm an adventurous eater, but don't come near we with sweetbreads. (I gagged just typing it :O
I refuse to eat sweetbreads! The name makes them sound so tempting, but... ugh!
I like fish, but I refuse to eat anchovies! They weird me out.
Cheese Whiz... My husband likes it (not sure why) - YUCK!
I refuse to eat peanut butter. It smells awful and every time I get it on me, I freak out and wash my hands quickly.
I refuse to eat durian. Did it once in Malaysia. Never again.
Raisins, or anything with raisins in it. RAISINS ARE NOT FOOD.
I refuse to eat hot dogs!
I like most foods...but I refuse to eat liver...yuck!!!
I hate pickles! I absolutely hate them though, strangely, I don't mind just a touch of pickle juice in certain things (i.e. potato salad) for flavor. But I cannot stand them alone, they must be in something and in small, teeny, quantities.
hmm there's not much that I will completely refuse to try! I agree with a couple other commenters though - I'll avoid eating raisins baked into baked goods, and also bell peppers!
Seafood!
Olives!
Sara (hurls23@chartermi.net)
I refuse to eat okra. Veggies shouldn't be furry and slimy at the same time!
I refuse to eat olives.
Eggplant..you couldn't pay me enough to ever eat it again
Broccoli. I can't stand the taste, I can't stand the smell. Ewwwww. :|
